Professional Profile 

My publishing career began in 1984 creating and producing yellow-page advertisements. I then added newspapers and print advertising to my skill set. Computers and digital publishing soon followed with my production of long documents for both print and web, graphics for social media, and ultimately working in project management. Before my recent layoff from my job of five years, I managed print production for K-12 Math textbooks at Accelerate Learning Inc. where I directed vendors to create documents paginated into complete books. 

I enjoy problem solving and process mapping. Figuring out problems is a constant in the creative world and I do it well pulling from experiential roadmaps of my career. Seeing the invisible and making smart decisions while creating artwork is the best part of being a creator for me. Lastly, I’m currently learning After Effects while studying motion graphics storytelling. 

Work Experience 

PRINT MANAGER, MATH NATION | ACCELERATE LEARNING | JUL 2019 – JUN 2024 

▪ Managed multiple projects and contractors to create textbooks for K-12 MATH education. 

▪ Utilized Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Word to create long documents for publication. 

▪ Supported customer needs: curriculum, sales, marketing, print vendors and supply chain. 

▪ Reduced production costs by 50% through controls on vendor redundancy, operational efficiencies, and reducing the standard of quality which saved time fixing low quality artwork. 

▪ Terminated from company in June, 2024 because of a reduction in force.
